Spring is here! Not only is it time to change out your dull winter wardrobe, it's time to lighten up your polish too! I'm reviewing more Couture Gel Nail Polish (my fave gel polish) and I've chosen 3 of the hottest colors for Spring based on Pantone's Spring 2015 Fashion Color Report. I'd like to share those with you along with a tutorial on how to apply gel nail polish.
Everyone has seen Mutts in their local paper, a comic strip by Patrick McDonnell that features the lovable Mooch and Earl. It's sweet, insightful, and funny; It will warm your heart and give you a chuckle too! To coincide with the release of the new book The Mutts Winter Diaries, Richard Leeds International has designed a cozy nightshirt to give you the sweetest of dreams.
Winter is coming and temperatures are dropping; 'Tis the season to stay snuggly and warm! I was sent a fuzzy, snuggly, hooded one-piece PJ from Richard Leeds International to try and it couldn't have been more adorable! Bunnies, piggies, and Santa, oh my!
Get ready for the holidays with me! I love getting cozy in the warmest pajamas during the winter, and who makes the cutest PJs out there? Richard Leeds International. From cute prints (like my Scottie Dogs here), to your favorite characters, you'll find pajamas that are perfectly your style. I was sent three nightshirts from RLI to try out and I'll show you those too.
I get terrible sinus problems in the winter; Congestion and painful pressure have plagued me for years. I've found over time that treating it continually from the very first symptoms can help keep it from turning into a dreaded sinus infection that requires antibiotics. While sinus sprays and neti pots can be very helpful, I also like to make these aromatic Vaporub Bath Salts to use in my bath or shower. Yes, you can use them in your morning shower (it will really wake you up!) and I'll tell you how.
Spring is here! Although it's still a bit chilly where I am, I just can't wait to get my summer glow on. You've seen how pale I am, and being pale accentuates every one of my skin imperfections, from dark undereye circles to splotchy freckles. I wear foundation frequently throughout the winter, but when summer rolls around, I opt for a tan. Having a tan just makes me feel more confident in my bare skin (also, Southern summers are not kind to makeup!) In today's post, I'll show you how to prep your face for a flawless self-tan, show you what I use, and give you a ton of tips and tricks to get you glowing like it's already summer!
Spring and summer are my favorite seasons. I love to shake off the winter blahs and get to playing and enjoying the warm days. Something about the season turning always gets my creativity going, and I've come up with a wonderful sparkling blended drink to help you enjoy the warmer days ahead. This Very Raspberry Lemonade Sparkling "Mock"quiri is made with an easy raspberry puree and is perfect for hot summer days or entertaining a crowd. Make every moment sparkle this summer!
With the holiday season fast approaching, most people are imagining cold weather, parties, family gatherings, feasts, and gifts, but 1 out of every 3 women struggling with LBL (light bladder leakage) may not be facing the season with completely positive thoughts. Joyous laughter or a winter sneeze can easily turn into an embarrassing moment. Once again I've partnered with Poise to bring you solutions like this LBL Emergency Kit to get you holiday-ready and worry free!
Winter is coming. Not only is it time for sweaters, boots, and football games, it's Cold and Flu season too. A nasty virus is not something anyone wants to catch, especially during the holidays, so prevention is key. Family togetherness shouldn't have to include wiping runny noses, and I've partnered with Vicks to bring you my 6 best tips to avoid getting sick this winter.
What's better than a mug of hot cocoa in front of a roaring fire on a cold Winter's night? Not much, but this Bourbon Caramel Roasted Marshmallow hot cocoa can certainly kick it up a notch. This steamy, indulgent beverage is so easy to make and it will please all of your holiday guests. I'll show you just what you need to make it!
Did you know that January is National Hot Tea Month? It makes sense since a hot cup of tea is the perfect warmer on a cold winter's day, so go ahead and brew one up! And since you're already having tea, you might as well make some scones to go with that cuppa. ;) Luckily, I have the ideal recipe for wintertime scones using seasonal ingredients that are so perfectly paired, it's a match made in foodie heaven. Blueberry buttermilk scones + a sweet Meyer lemon glaze = Yes, please.
It's time to take down those holiday decorations, but you don't have to leave your door bare. Today I have a fun decor craft for your front door or even inside your home: a DIY Arrow Wreath. It's a great decor piece for Fall or Winter and it couldn't be easier to make as you only need a ready-made grapevine wreath (or any kind you like best), some felt sheets, and a few sticks from the yard! It makes a great decoration and you can reuse it year after year.
I love hot beverages during the winter. Since I'm not a fan of the cold, I always have a hot drink nearby. One of my favorites is a Chai coffee because the spices just mesh so well this time of year. You'd think it would be hard to one-up a fabulous cup of Chai-spiced coffee, but try adding sweet caramel flavor. Oh, and make it a creamy Latte. :)
As the weather warms and we move towards spring, I can't wait to get out of the doldrums of winter. Bright colors and beautiful scents are a wonderful way to set the tone for the coming season and to brighten your mood too. I tried out the NEW Atmosphere Collection™ Fine Home Fragrance by Glade®, a new collection of curated and artisanal scents designed by world-renowned fragrance designer Ann Gottlieb and designed four inspirational Watercolor prints that you can pair with your favorites. Transform your home's atmosphere with sight and scent just in time for spring!

There's a reason that Spring Cleaning is so popular; It's a time when the house can be freshened up after a long, cold Winter, but the same can be done after a long, hot Summer, too! The weather is finally a bit cooler, so it's the perfect time to do some Fall cleaning to get the house ready for the holiday season and it will make your Spring cleaning chores a bit easier, too. I've got a great list of Fall cleaning chores and recommendations along with a printable checklist to help you get it all done.
It's time to start shopping for holiday gifts! There's nothing I like better to get or to give than something cozy and warm for the cold winter months and a comfy pair of socks are the perfect stocking stuffer. I was sent some fun knit socks to try out from Solmate Socks and was delighted to find out that they're both eco-friendly and made is the USA, and I've got a Free Shipping code just for my readers!
The winter holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year. Family and friends gathering and sharing good food and holiday cheer are some of my happiest memories, so I love to give others happy holiday memories as well. I've created this delicious Cranberry Ginger Fizz Cocktail that you can serve at your holiday festivities and it will help to support a good cause at the same time. :)
Kids usually love winter with it's fun holidays and snow to play with, but when the holidays are over and the snow is melted into slush (or you're just plain snowed in!) I've got a great bunch of ideas to help keep the kids busy on those cold winter days when you need to have some indoor activities ready to go.
