Today, i have a very nutritious and healthy rice recipe to share with you all. Broccoli chickpea rice, Yes ! A one bowl meal filled with plant protein and healthy broccoli. With a hint of coconut at every bite, it is very nutty, filling and more over healthy. The addition of chickpeas and broccoli your leftover rice becomes a healthy rice bowl. Off late, veggie bowls and buddha bowls are trending. With simple concept to build a one dish meal that has whole grains, healthy veggies, protein and sauces. They make a complete balanced meal. Are you into meal planning? Do you cook rice ahead at the begining of the week? Do you have leftover rice often? With simple ingredients as broccoli, chickpea and coconut to the rice. Here i have combined the broccoli and chickpea stir fry/curry with the rice. You can even deconstuct the recipe , be creative and recplace or add veggies to make an awesome buddha bowl. Broccoli chickpeas rice is loved by adults and kids alike. A single bowl dish that’s healthy, hearty , filling and moreover ready in less than 20 minutes. VARIATIONS TO MAKE TO BUDDHA BOWL Replace white rice with brown rice or even quinoa. To make it more flavorful, cook rice with coconut milk in place of water. Add some toasted nuts for a more nutty flavor. Make your favorite sauce and serve as aside. Add roasted veggies as brussel sprouts or even carrots. Spice up the broccoli stir fry as per your choice. Replace chickpeas with other protein sources. INGREDIENTS TO MAKE THIS BROCCOLI CHICKPEAS RICE BOWL Rice : Cook rice ahead in time. Leftover rice works great as the rice has to be completely cooled. Chickpeas : Cook chickpeas ahead if using dry ones. Canned chickpeas also work great for this recipe. Coconut : Fresh coconut or use dry shredded coconut that’s unsweetned. Garlic Powder : Garlic powder adds a nice flavor to this rice bowl. Use minced garlic in place of powder. Coconut Oil/Oil : While coconut oil adds a nice flavor to the rice bowl. Replace with chioce of oil. Coriander Powder : Coriander or Cumin powder adds additional flavors to the rice bowl. Adjust as per taste preferance. Papirika : Adds spice to the rice bowl. Adjust as per spice level. HOW TO MAKE BROCCOLI CHICKPEA RICE ? Cook rice and chickpeas ahead, if using dry chickpeas. Soak dry chickpeas in water overnight or atleast 8 hours. Drain and cook with enough water till soft. In an instantpot cook for 8 minutes or pressure cook for 3 whistles. Do not over cook, they become mushy.  Heat coconut oil or any oil in a skillet. If using fresh garlic mince and add at the begining. Roast for a minutes and add broccoli florets. Cover and cook for a fe minutes till they are slightly tender. Add a pinch of salt to fasten the cooking process. Add chickpeas and saute for a minutes or two. Add spices as garlic powder, coriander powder, salt and cook.  If using fresh grated coconut add it along with the spices and cook till the raw smells goes away.     If using dry coconut add after the spices are mixed and cooked . Give the mixture a good mix.     For a deconstucted veggies bowl, use this stir fry mixture and add to the veggies bowl.  Serve the stir fry along with chioce of grains as brown rice, coconut rice or quinoa.   To make a single serving rice bowl, add cooked rice to this mixture a combine well till mixed.   Serve warm and enjoy…   https://youtu.be/x8SZQx0zfGo TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK !!! Sunset mocktail is a refreshing summer drink, quick and easy to make to beat summer heat.  This mocktail made with watermelon , orange juice and chioce of carbonated water that creates a beautiful sunset colors in a glass. It is called sunset or sunrise mocktail from the appearance .Watermelon and orange juices create the beautiful color gradient from red to light orange. Layer of carbonated soda and ice seperates both the juices from mixing.  If you are looking for quick and easy drinks then mocktails are one that comes to your rescue to beat of summer heat. Refreshing and cold at each sip this drink is as beautiful as watching sunsire or sunset. A few mint leaves and lime slices can bring up your mood as well as make your relaxing day much brighter. INGREDIENTS TO MAKE THIS SUNSET MOCKTAIL To begin with the recipe, all it requires is very few ingredients straight from the refrigerator. WATERMELON JUICE : Fresh Watermelon juice is the key for a tasty mocktail. Chop some fresh watermelon chunks , blend and strain. ORANGE JUICE : The next important ingredient of the mocktail, squeeze and strain freshly sliced oranges. Use store brought if you prefer. LIMES : A dash of sliced lemons add the extra tang. CARBONATED SODA/SPRITE/ANY AERATED WATER : Add your chioce of aerated water or carbonated soda, sugar-free, sugared anything work. Aerated water and ice creates a fizz and a layer between the two juices. ICE CUBES : Ice cubes are very important to create this mocktail in two ways. one is to create a layer between the two colors and the other to cool off the summer heat.Add sufficient ice cubes between layers of juice so the juices do not belnd and retain their color. MINT LEAVES : Fresh Mint leaves adds a nice aromatic flavor to the flavor. Purely optional skip if needed. SUGAR : Fancy drinks comes in lot of decorations always, coat the rim of the glass with some sugar to create the fancy and frosted look and feel of the barside drinks. HOW TO PREPARE SUNSET/SUNRISE MOCTAIL Slice watermelon into cubes and make a juice. Strain the juice and set aside. Squeeze juice of fresh oranges, strain and set aside. Coat the rim of the glass/glasses with limes. sprinkle sugar in a plate and invert the lime coated glass and twist a couple of times. Squeeze or add a slice of lime and few mint leaves and muddle few times to release juices and flavors. Add orange juice.(bottom layer) Add crushed ice to fill the glass Add Aerated Drink and add watermelon juice. Decorate with a slice of lemon or orange. Easter Carrots hairclips are made with simple ribbons these are the cutiest easter themed hair accesories for your loved ones. All you need is just a tiny orange ribbon or fabric to resemble carrots and you have the perfect hairclips for your easter party. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THESE HAIRCLIPS: Cover a snap clip with ribbon.  Detailed instruction in ‘ DIY EASTER HAIRCLIPS’ Trace the shape of an egg on a 4 inch ribbon and cut it. Seal fraying ends with a lighter or candle. Trim ribbon or lace and glue to the egg to decorate. Measure the carrot size on the egg and fold the ribbon and cut , leave some extra space to trim. Now trim the ends of the ribbon to resemble carrots. wider on top and narrow at the bottom. This will look like flower petals. Seal fraying ends with lighter. Glue them overlapping with each other. Take an inch of green ribbon and cut to the shape on V at one end. seal ends. Stick this green ribbon to the top of the carrots. Glue the carrots to the egg and Egg to the bottom of the snapclip. This Easter egg inspire hairclip is made with ribbons and a snap clip. Perfect for to accessorize with any dress for Easter party or Easter Egg Hunt. All you need is a pair of snapclips new or used , ribbons and some emblishments. First you have to cover the snapclips with ribbon or start with a covered one. To cover a snapclip with ribbon click here : ‘ How to cover a snapclip with Ribbon? ‘ INSTRUCTIONS TO CREATE EASTER EGGS WITH rIBBON Step 1 : Draw a egg on a paper of desired size and trace it on the backside of Fabric or Ribbon. Here i used a 4 inch ribbon. Step 2 : Cut the traced ribbon and carefully seal the fray ends with candle or lighter. Step 3 : Repeat the steps for other ribbon or fabric too. Step 4 : Trim a lace or cut another ribbon in half as shown approximatley 2 inches ( should be able to wrap the egg at both ends. Step 5 : Carefully seal the ends with lighter. Heat will let the ribbon contract the end and creates as nice circular edge. If you are using 1/8 ribbon or thin lace skip step 4 and 5. Step 6 : Now place lace or trimmed ribbon to the egg leaving ribbon at both ends. Line hot glue on the desired position and stick the ribbon. Step 7 : Fold the left over ribbon backwards and glue it on both ends. Trim any excess. When done this is how the decorated egg looks. Step 8 : Place one egg over the other and glue them. Add any embishments if desired Step 9 : Add a dab of hot glue to the bottom of the snap clip to attach the finished egg to finsh the hairclip.  Similarly repeat the steps to finsh the other one.

Easter is a spring celebration of new beginings and changing colors. As this comes soon after the start of spring, it colors scheme for easter is very delighful with pastels. With lot of crafts around on this theme that includes decorated eggs, bunnies , carrots so why not make hairbows inspired by these. So i have created three pairs of hairclips that are easter inspired and with ribbon for my daughter. so there hairclips are perfect for your Easter family pictures or for their easter egg hunt. Click each link for detailed instructions. 1. Easter Eggs Hair clips 2. Easter Carrots Hair clips 3. Easter Bunny Hair clips. If you have a pair of snapclips and some variety of ribbons then you are good to make these. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO MAKE THESE HAIRCLIPS? Snapclips : New or even used ones works fine , black , colored , just plain metal ones. Ribbon : To cover the snapclips, use any type i used 3/8 inch width ribbon. Simmer fabric or ribbon : I used 4 inch width ribbon to cut my eggs, bunny. Any color works here. Stay close to easter theme. Orange ribbon : to trace carrots i used 3/8 inch width polka dot gross grain ribbon. Green ribbon/fabric : Use green ribbon for carrot leaves Lace or Ribbon : These are to decorate the easter eggs, Cut lace to desired width. I used scalloped ribbon slited in center. Can you regular 1/8 inch ribbon too. Emblishments : Use tiny stones , pearls any thing to decorate. Glue gun : To stick everything in place. Scissors : To cut egg, bunny template, as well ribbons. Candle/Lighter : To seal ends of cut ribbon. Paper/cardboard : To draw an egg, bunny shape. HOW TO COVER SNAP CLIPS WITH RIBBON? To cover snapclips (regular size) you need exactly 18 – 20 cms of 3/8 inch ribbon. If you are beginner crafter start with a few more cms than exact length. A coulpe of more twists and you might need extra. you can always trim the extra ribbon than adding more. Step 1: Open your snapclip, starting at the bottom center place your ribbon at 45 degree angle and stick it with a glue dot. Wrap around the outer edge of the snapclip till the top end. Don’t overlap the ribbon much. 3-4 wraps should bring you to the other other end. Step 2 : Add a dab of glue to the tip of the clip and wrap around it. Press for 2 seconds letting the ribbon to stick. Now bring from behind wrap around the other outer edge till the bottom of the clip. you should reach the other end by 3 -4 wraps depending on the angle you warp at. Step 3 : Wrap till the other end and with a dab of glue secure the ribbon front and behind and trim any excess.   watch EASTER HAIRCLIPS VIDEO HERE

Paneer Do Pyaza is a  restaurant style curry where chunks of soft paneer( cottage cheese), onions, tomatoes are cooked with spices in a rich cashew based gravy. Paneer and Onions are the two main ingredients of this recipe. Pyaz means Onion in Hindi. Onions are quartered to the size of paneer and added to the curry.   Paneer do pyaza is a simple and delicous curry, rich in taste. Soft paneer cubes and onions are pan fried and simmered ina rich cashew based gravy. Flavors from garam masala and other spices enhance the taste of onions and paneer.   This curry is rich, tasty and have a balance of heat from the chili powder, coriander, while homemade Garam Masala adds the necessary flavor and make it aromatic. This restaurant style recipe is served with a roti/naan or rice.   WHAT IS PANEER DO PYAZA?  Do means two and Pyaz means Onion in Hindi, Onion is added in two forms in this recipe, one diced as we add in any other curry. The other form is onions peels of sautéed onions. This recipe has the double amount of onions used than any regular recipe.   Paneer is a major fat/protein source for vegetarians, so almost every Indian popular recipe has a paneer version too, as many people follow vegetarianism in India.    Paneer Do Pyaza is the popular recipe among many paneer recipes INGREDIENTS FOR PANEER DO PYAZA  Paneer : Paneer is the major ingredient, the firmer the better.  Onions : Red Onions are preferable. Slice few onions in quarters and peel them as petals and dice the rest of them. Tomato Puree : Puree a small tomato into smooth paste, if using store bought adjust the quantity as per taste. Preferable to use fresh tomato as they are available in all seasons. Cashew Paste : Soak cashews in hot water and blend to a smooth paste. You can add powdered cashews too but for a smooth consistency prefer to blend to a smooth paste. Garam Masala Powder : Any Garam Masala powder would serve the purpose. Homemade Garammasala ground with fresh spices adds more flavor to the curry as we are not adding any additional raw spices. So so not skip it. Recipe Link below. Other Spices : Ginger garlic paste, cumin, kasoori methi, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric. Green Chiles : (optional) Slit 2 green chiles and add for additional spice.
