This is a lucysfriendlyfoods version of a classic Tate and Lyle’s golden syrup cake – sweet, squidgy and syrupy all at the same time.

Little S has developed a taste for Plamil dairy-free chocolate spread and has it on her toast every morning over anything else.

As the party took place at a leisure centre they provided the (rather substandard!) food and I didn’t get the opportunity to make a whole party feast of allergy-friendly treats.

I have no idea why I’ve always bought cordials, they’re so easy to make and homemade can only much more natural and therefore healthy than anything store bought.

I love parsley – it’s so versatile but can often be overlooked by more flamboyant herbs.

The preparations for our Christmas food have now begun! These minty chocolate truffles, coated in icing sugar to resemble snowballs would make a fabulous Christmas gift.

Christmas eve is nearly upon us and we need to leave out some goodies for Father Christmas and his reindeer.

This is an absolutely winning gravy – perfect served with Christmas lunch or a roast, on a pie or with veggie sausages (you’ve got to try my nosages!) and mash.
